Episode Overview
Betty Jo arrives home from the hospital with her new baby, settling in at the Shady Rest for a while. Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo eagerly anticipate the arrival of a doctor from Beverly Hills, secretly hoping he’s a dashing bachelor. To their surprise, the "doctor" turns out to be Granny, whose unconventional methods leave much to be desired. When Granny misplaces her glasses, she mistakenly identifies the family dog as the baby. She concocts a potent homemade remedy to turn the dog-like infant into a proper baby. After Steve administers the concoction to the dog, Granny retrieves her glasses and, upon seeing the real baby, mistakenly believes she's succeeded in her "treatment." Note: This episode wraps up a crossover with The Beverly Hillbillies that started in "Granny Goes to Hooterville."
