Episode Overview

In the summer of 1929, the familiar faces from Copenhagen gather once more at Andersens Badehotel by the North Sea. Amanda, the daughter of wholesaler Madsen, returns from a trip abroad, orchestrated by her parents to distance her from a troubling romance. The maid Fie eagerly anticipates Amanda’s arrival, though her emotions are conflicted. Amanda holds the key to helping Fie’s boyfriend, Morten, escape the year-long turmoil of false accusations. Meanwhile, two young men check into the hotel, bringing with them a gramophone and a collection of jazz records, ready for excitement.
