A decade after a furious departure, Poul, the son of the deceased hotel owner, returns from America to settle the inheritance dispute with Mrs. Andersen. The kitchen staff speculate about the strained relationship between Poul and his father, questioning whether he aims to claim the hotel for himself. Meanwhile, Amanda has put her father on hold until he fulfills his promise to clear Morten's name, but she unexpectedly uncovers a secret that could resolve everything without the aid of wholesaler Madsen.
