As the new season of 1969-1970 kicks off, viewers meet a fresh iteration of Darrin Stephens. Meanwhile, Tabitha feels overshadowed by the arrival of a new baby and decides to escape into the tale of "Jack and the Beanstalk." Phyllis encounters Jack and is left bewildered by the bizarre happenings. Realizing that Tabitha has magically entered the storybook, Samantha dives in to retrieve her. Inside, she discovers Tabitha has been altering the narrative by shrinking the giant. Samantha instructs her daughter to restore everything to its original state before bringing her back home.
