In the once-flourishing realm of Codslow, three immortal beasts hold dominion, while the oppressed inhabitants suffer from starvation. These immortals draw their formidable powers from pearls, wine, and paper. A group of pilgrims steps in to assist a brave young girl and her family in reclaiming their homeland’s lost splendor. Meanwhile, lovestruck Pigsy finds himself in a perilous situation that nearly turns him into a meal, prompting Monkey to devise a clever strategy to overthrow the tyrannical immortals.
