Monkey (1978)

Episode Overview

Buddha dispatches a messenger, the compassionate Boddhisattva Kuan-yin, to seek a holy figure who can travel from China to India to retrieve the sacred sutras. She selects the young priest Hsüan Tsang, renaming him Tripitaka. Alongside him is the spirited Monkey, equipped with his magical staff and extraordinary abilities, as well as a talking horse. Together, they embark on an unforgettable adventure.
