Monkey (1978)

Episode Overview

The pilgrims arrive at the home of a village headman, who introduces them to a stunning image of the Goddess Sorosvati painted on a decorative screen, alongside the six other deities of prosperity. That night, the goddess mysteriously emerges from the painting, deceiving Tripitaka and assuming his role in the journey. While she charms the rest of the group, Monkey uncovers Tripitaka imprisoned within the screen. Now, Monkey must find a way to rescue Tripitaka and return the goddess to her painted form.
