Monkey (1978)

Episode Overview

After being rejected by his parents for his lack of magical abilities, the young demon Shosanpu targets unsuspecting pilgrims for practice. However, his antics are soon discovered. Moved by his plight, Monkey opts to provide Shosanpu with unique training, despite Tripitaka's objections. Armed with Monkey's staff, Shosanpu manages to transform the four pilgrims into stone statues before setting off to find his father, Yuzankun. During his absence, the statues are stolen and sold at an auction. Can Shosanpu locate them in time to restore them to their original forms?
