Overview
Mister Terrific, a quirky sitcom from CBS that aired from January to May 1967, features Stephen Strimpell as Stanley Beamish, an unassuming gas station attendant turned secret crime fighter. Working for a covert agency called The Bureau of Secret Projects, Stanley transforms into a superhero by taking a “power pill” that grants him extraordinary strength and the ability to fly—albeit in a comically flapping wingsuit. However, he faces challenges: the pills last only an hour, and he remains vulnerable to bullets. The humor thrives on Stanley's misadventures as he often loses his powers mid-mission.
