Episode Overview
Mayor John Balks moves to shut down Kamado's orphanage and later attends a meeting with Deus, where Yuki and Yuno, having figured out his true identity, expose him as the Eleventh diary holder. Uryu informs Nishijima, who shares that he has been assigned to guard Balks and has learned Yuno is adopted. Yuno suspects that Balks aims to take control of Kamado's Future Diary server, prompting her to urge Yuki to join forces with her. The group sets a trap for Balks on a rural road, but he uses a jammer to cut off access to the server. Anticipating this, Yuki and Yuno betray Kamado, mercilessly attacking her apprentices. Kamado escapes in Balks' vehicle as Yuki and Yuno pursue her. Just as they corner them, Uryu arrives with Aru, who reveals he’s obtained Yuno’s umbilical cord from the orphanage.
