Episode Overview
Yoshitatsu, Dōsan's son, stages a coup against his father due to Dōsan's alliance with Nobuna. Though Nobuna wishes to send reinforcements, everyone knows it would give Yoshimoto Imagawa, the Daimyo of Suruga, a chance to invade Owari. Meanwhile, Nagamasa Asai, the Daimyo of Oumi, meets with Nobuna to suggest a partnership between their clans, aiming to bolster Dōsan's forces in exchange for her hand in marriage. However, Yoshiharu and the others dislike Nagamasa, seeing him as selfish and opportunistic. They persuade Nobuna to reject his proposal. Shortly after, Mitsuhide arrives with Dōsan's daughter Kichō, whom Dōsan entrusts to Nobuna as he prepares for a final stand. Katsuie knocks out Nobuna to prevent rash decisions.
