Episode Overview
As the new season kicks off, Troy Landry, known as the King of the Swamp, faces a fierce battle against Mother Nature. The water levels in the basin have soared to unprecedented heights, forcing the alligators into hard-to-reach back ponds and forests. To complicate matters, a cold front has swept into Louisiana, worsening the situation. While Troy and his family gear up for what might be their toughest season yet, he learns that R.J. and Jay Paul have encroached on his territory, using their airboat to hunt gators that are now beyond his grasp. Meanwhile, in Hammond, Bruce Mitchell is on the brink of his second season without his loyal hunting dog, Tyler. His partner, Ron Methvin, thinks he has a clever surprise for Bruce, but when they reunite, the plan falls apart, testing their partnership. At the end of the first gator hunting day, Troy drops a shocking announcement that deeply unsettles his family.
