Episode Overview

Opie befriends Tommy, the new kid in town, who has a penchant for mischief. Ignoring Andy's warnings, Tommy climbs onto the roof of the sheriff's office and even takes a gun from Andy's rack. Meanwhile, Goober adopts a dog he names "Spot," despite the lack of any spots on him. Tommy cleverly conceals one of his walkie-talkies in Spot's collar, leading Goober to believe the dog can talk. However, the situation takes a twist when Andy decides to use Tommy's fondness for horses to impart an important lesson.
