Nicholas Baron, a notorious mobster, finds himself charged with the murder of a rival and turns to Ben Matlock for legal help. Although Ben is hesitant at first, he ultimately decides to take on Baron’s case, even in the face of threats to his own safety. As he gets to know the Baron family, Ben discovers that beneath Nicholas's criminal facade lies a concerned father desperate to prove his innocence.
