Matlock (1986)

Episode Overview

Sandra Townsend is a senior attorney at Drexel, Harris and Townsend, but outside of work, she enjoys unwinding at local bars. When her lover threatens to reveal her nightlife to her superiors, she takes drastic action and kills him. Michelle steps in to defend Jimmy Newton, Matlock's former paperboy, who has been accused of the murder while Matlock is away in California. As the case unfolds, Michelle discovers that Sandra, who is meant to be a key witness, is actually the murderer. The challenge lies in the fact that Sandra is a close friend and former classmate, making it hard for Michelle to accept the truth.
