Matlock (1986)

Episode Overview

When Brian Martell is taken into custody for the murder of Arthur Kendall, Matlock steps in, recalling that years prior, his father Charlie was a suspect in the murder of Arthur's father, Jake—a crime for which Brian's father, Lee, was found guilty. Brian believes Matlock is trying to atone for Lee's wrongful imprisonment due to Charlie’s actions, but Matlock insists that neither man is guilty. As they dig deeper into the playwright's murder, they uncover a connection to the woman involved in an affair with him and her furious young son.
