Billy Wheeler returns to town with a windfall of $250,000 from a lottery win, quickly becoming smitten with contractor Judy Wilson. However, things take a dark turn when Judy betrays him and others, leading to her mysterious death. Suddenly, Billy finds himself the prime suspect, and it's up to Matlock to defend him and prove his innocence.
