Matlock (1986)

Episode Overview

Matlock brings Leanne to meet Martha Jordan, the widow of his first client from 1962. Back then, Stan Shaw was working as a cook in the local diner when he was wrongfully accused of murdering the sheriff following a dispute. Charlie Matlock urged Ben, who had just left his job as district attorney, to take on the case, but their support for the black cook faced backlash from the town. Despite Cyrus Jordan's warnings for the Matlocks to abandon the case for their own protection, the father-son duo remained resolute in their mission to clear Cyrus's name.
