Mrs. Bradley goes to a celebration for her god-daughter, Eleanor Bing, who is engaged to Everard Mountjoy. However, when Everard suddenly dies, the authorities deem it a tragic accident. Mrs. Bradley doesn't buy that explanation and, with the help of her loyal chauffeur, George, begins her quest to uncover what really happened.
