When Ben, John, and Officer Chickie Brown stumble upon a baby crawling alone in the street, an investigation kicks off. Lydia becomes personally invested in the situation after Child Protective Services steps in, deciding to support the baby's mother despite the risks. Meanwhile, Sammy and Nate are outraged to discover that their teenage witness won't receive police protection due to budget constraints. Determined to keep her safe, they take matters into their own hands and offer their own money after she narrowly escapes an attempt on her life.
