Overview
Set against the backdrop of Kabul on August 14, 2021, the show captures the tense moments leading up to the Taliban's advance. As France scrambles to evacuate its embassy, the swift takeover the following day forces French, Italian, German, and American diplomats, along with law enforcement, to devise a last-minute escape plan for hundreds of Afghans and other refugees. With the city descending into chaos, Afghans find themselves facing a harrowing dilemma: submit to oppression or flee for their lives.
