Kersti Kreismann, born on January 25, 1947, is a celebrated actress hailing from Estonia. She completed her secondary education at Kilingi-Nõmme High School in 1965 and subsequently pursued Estonian philology at the University of Tartu from 1965 to 1968. In 1972, Kreismann graduated from the Tallinn Conservatory, now known as the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she honed her acting skills under the mentorship of renowned actor and educator Voldemar Panso. Among her classmates were notable figures such as Tõnis Rätsep, Ivo Eensalu, and Juhan Viiding.

Following her studies, Kreismann embarked on her professional acting career at the Estonian Drama Theatre, where she showcased her talent in various productions. She has contributed to radio dramas, television series, and films, with notable appearances in shows like "Laxons" (1993-1995), "M Club" (1996-1998), and "Home in the Middle of the City" (2003). Her film credits include the 1980 feature "Christmas in Vigala."

In addition to her artistic endeavors, Kreismann was a signatory of the impactful Letter of 40 Intellectuals in October 1980, a collective protest against the Kremlin's Russification efforts and the government's response to youth demonstrations in Tallinn. She is also the proud mother of actor Andres Raag, continuing her legacy in the arts.
