Plot
In the Christmas season of 1905, Vigala is far from a serene place. The manor has been ransacked amidst the peasant uprising, and the atmosphere is thick with smoke and the dread of impending retribution. Bernhard Laipmann, a tenant farmer, faces pressure from his wife to flee their home as his actions attract unwanted attention from the authorities. Torn between his desire to escape and his yearning for freedom and equality, Laipmann grapples with the harsh realities and brutality of the ongoing revolution.
