David Dastmalchian
David Dastmalchian (pronounced /dəstˈmɑːltʃən/ dǝst-MAHL-chən; born July 21, 1975) is an accomplished American actor, writer, and producer. He is recognized for his supporting roles in various superhero film franchises, including his portrayal of Thomas Schiff in The Dark Knight (2008), and characters Kurt and Veb in the Ant-Man series. Additionally, he played Abra Kadabra in the CW series The Flash and took on the role of Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad (2021).
Dastmalchian has collaborated with acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve on three projects: Prisoners (2013), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and Dune (2021). While he is primarily known as a character actor, he also took on lead roles in the semi-autobiographical film Animals (2014), which he wrote, and the horror film Late Night with the Devil (2023), which he produced. Furthermore, he is set to appear as Mr. 3 in the upcoming Netflix series One Piece and will make a guest appearance in the 2025 TV series Dexter: Resurrection.
