Dorina Lazăr, born on November 7, 1940, in Hunedoara, is a distinguished film actress. She completed her education at the Institute of Theater and Cinematography, specializing in acting under the mentorship of Professor Ion Finteşteanu, alongside Sanda Manu and Dem Rădulescu. Her theatrical career began in 1961 with a debut at the Bucharest Regional Theater, and since 1969, she has been performing at the Odeon Theater.

Lazăr made her cinematic debut in 1974 with the film "Peace," directed by Geo Saizescu. Over the years, she has appeared in several acclaimed films, including "Angela" (1981), "Liceenii" (1986), "Balanta" (1991), and "Amen" (2001).

In recognition of her talent, she received the Bronze Leo Award at the 1979 International Theater Festival in Arezzo for her performance in the play "Năstasta." Additionally, in 1982, she was honored as Best Film Actress by the Romanian Film Association (ACIN) for her portrayal in "Angela goes on" (1981). Her contributions to the arts were further acknowledged in 2000 when she was awarded the National Order as a Knight of Service. Since 2003, she has held the position of director at the Odeon Theater. In 2012, she was bestowed with the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
