Loïc Corbery, hailing from Avignon, was introduced to the world of theater at an early age by his parents—his father an engineer and his mother a literature professor. A serendipitous encounter at just six years old with acclaimed filmmaker Agnès Varda led to his role in her short film “7 Rooms Kitchen and Bathroom,” marking the beginning of his artistic journey.

After completing his baccalaureate, Corbery moved to Paris to pursue theater studies at the Périmony school. He further honed his craft at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art from 1997 to 2000, where he was mentored by Stuart Seide and Jacques Lassalle. His breakout performance in “Le jour du destin” in 2003 earned him a nomination for the prestigious Molières 2004 for male theatrical revelation.

Corbery has appeared in various French television series, including a notable recurring role in “Commissaire Valence” alongside Bernard Tapie. In 2005, he joined the esteemed Comédie-Française, where he gained acclaim for his performances in Pierre Corneille's “Le Cid,” directed by Brigitte Jaques, and Shakespeare's “The Taming of the Shrew,” directed by Oskaras Koršunovas. He became a full member of the Comédie-Française in 2010. In 2009, he was honored with the artistic direction of a tribute to Molière. His contributions to the arts were recognized when he received the Swann d'Or at the 2014 Cabourg Film Festival.
