Michael Milhoan was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, where his passion for jazz music flourished during his formative years. He earned a scholarship to North Texas State University, where he honed his skills as a trumpeter. In 1979, he showcased his talent as the lead trumpet player on Stan Kenton's tour and performed alongside the legendary Woody Herman and his Thundering Herd. However, a serious car accident abruptly ended his music career, prompting Michael to channel his artistic talents into acting.

Milhoan gained recognition on television with his role in the sitcom *Something So Right*. He starred in two television films, *The Princess and the Marine* and *A Loss of Innocence*, and made a memorable impression as the high school gym coach in *3rd Rock from the Sun*. His extensive guest appearances include popular shows such as *That '70s Show*, *The X-Files*, *Arli$$*, *The Drew Carey Show*, *Home Improvement*, *Seinfeld*, *Murphy Brown*, *Two Guys and a Girl*, and *7th Heaven*, where he portrayed a father of a child with Tourette's Syndrome.

On the big screen, Michael is perhaps best known for his role as Boone in the beloved film *Tin Cup*, starring alongside Kevin Costner. His other notable films include *Pearl Harbor*, *Collateral Damage*, *Anywhere But Here*, *Crimson Tide*, *Executive Decision*, and *Phenomenon*, where he played James Spader's lawyer. Additionally, he portrayed Buck Weaver, the Chicago White Sox third baseman, in *Field of Dreams*. Outside of acting, Michael is an enthusiastic golfer, aspiring to compete on the PGA Senior Tour.
