Flea
Michael Peter Balzary, famously known as Flea, was born on October 16, 1962, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He later moved to Rye, New York, at the age of four following his parents' divorce. Flea's upbringing spanned both the United States and Australia, but he ultimately made California his home. While in high school, he developed a close friendship with singer Anthony Kiedis, which led to the formation of the iconic rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1983, where he serves as the bassist.
Beyond his work with the Chili Peppers, Flea has also been a part of several notable supergroups, including Atoms for Peace, Antemasque, Pigface, and Rocket Juice & the Moon. His versatility as a musician has allowed him to collaborate with a diverse array of artists, including the Mars Volta, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Alanis Morissette, Young MC, Nirvana, What Is This?, Fear, and Jane's Addiction.
