He is best known as the lead vocalist and leader of the popular boy band Arashi, which has garnered a massive following in Japan and beyond, earning him the affectionate nickname "Leader" (リーダー Rīdā).

Ohno's journey in the entertainment realm began in 1994 when he joined Johnny & Associates at just 13 years old. His foray into acting commenced in 1997 with a role in the stage production KYO TO KYO.
