Plot
Five friends navigate the complexities of summer 1962 in a cramped Tokyo studio, each chasing their own vision of freedom. Eisuke, a manga artist, dreams of creative expression; Shoichi, a singer, seeks his musical breakthrough; Ryuzo, a novelist, yearns for literary recognition; Kei, a painter, aspires to capture beauty; and Yuji often feels like the odd one out. As they pursue their ideals, the group discovers that achieving personal liberty is fraught with challenges, forcing them to confront the reality behind their dreams and the bonds that tie them together.
