Michael Eades

Dr. Michael Eades hails from Springfield, Missouri, and has an extensive educational background spanning several states, including Missouri, Michigan, and California. He earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from California State Polytechnic University before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Arkansas. Following his medical training, Dr. Eades, alongside his wife Mary Dan, established Medi-Stat Medical Clinics, a series of outpatient family care facilities located in central Arkansas. Since 1986, he has dedicated his career to the practice of bariatric, nutritional, and metabolic medicine.

The Eades couple gained widespread recognition from 1997 to 2005 through their successful infomercials. Their first infomercial showcased the Protein Power dietary approach, while the second promoted Metabosol, a weight-loss supplement they formulated. Additionally, they co-created and hosted a 26-episode PBS cooking series titled Low Carb CookwoRx, where they shared insights and recipes aligned with their nutritional philosophy, engaging audiences with their expertise and charisma.
