Dweezil Zappa

Dweezil Zappa, born Ian Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa on September 5, 1969, is a notable American rock guitarist and occasional actor who carries on the musical legacy of his father, the legendary Frank Zappa. Immersed in the music scene from childhood, Dweezil showcased his passion for guitar early on, honing his skills under the guidance of renowned guitarists such as Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen. At just 12 years old, he released his debut single, which was produced by Van Halen, marking the beginning of a promising music career.

Dweezil has not only carved out his own path in music but has also dedicated himself to preserving and celebrating his father's extensive catalog. He leads the band Zappa Plays Zappa, a tribute group that performs a variety of Frank Zappa's classic compositions. Throughout the years, this ensemble has featured an impressive roster of musicians, including Zappa alumni like Napoleon Murphy Brock, Terry Bozzio, and Steve Vai.
