Lonny Chapman
Lonny Chapman (October 1, 1920 – October 12, 2007) was a prominent American television actor celebrated for his extensive work in detective series throughout the 1970s and 1980s. His career was marked by a plethora of guest appearances on iconic shows such as Quincy, M.E., The A-Team, Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, and NYPD Blue, where his performances left a lasting impression on audiences.
Chapman's versatility shone through in various genres, as he also made appearances in CBS's adventure drama Harbourmaster alongside Barry Sullivan and featured in The Lloyd Bridges Show, a notable anthology series. His longstanding friendship with Dennis Weaver, whom he encouraged to pursue acting, led to several collaborations, including guest roles on NBC's McCloud and an episode of the classic western Gunsmoke.
