Susie Amy was born in London in 1981 and raised in Surrey. From a young age, she pursued her passion for drama while receiving a traditional academic education. Her talent was recognized in 1999 when an agent discovered her during a performance of 'After Juliet' by Sharman McDonald at the National Theatre in London. This pivotal moment led to a series of acting roles over the next two years, including appearances in "Sirens" (2002), the sitcom 'Sam's Game', 'The Swap', and 'My Family'.

At just 20 years old, Susie landed her first significant role in ITV's drama Footballers' Wives (2002), portraying the character 'Chardonnay Lane'. The show quickly gained immense popularity, making it one of the most discussed television series of its time.

Following the success of Footballers' Wives and after completing filming for its second season in 2002, she secured the leading role of 'Valentine D'Artagnan' in the 2004 Hallmark production La Femme Musketeer. In this film, she starred alongside esteemed actors Michael York, Gérard Depardieu, and Nastassja Kinski. For this role, Susie underwent training in martial arts, fencing, and horse riding, activities she reportedly enjoyed greatly.
