Andy Gillet, born on July 8, 1981, is a distinguished French fashion model and actor recognized for his contributions to European Auteur cinema. He gained acclaim for his roles in films such as Éric Rohmer's *Romance of Astree and Celadon* (2007) and Andrzej Żuławski's *Cosmos* (2015). As a model, Gillet has been the face of several prestigious brands, including Hermès, Valentino, and Burberry, with campaigns shot by renowned photographer Mario Testino. He also represented Kenzo Takada in the fragrance campaign for *Kenzo Power*.

Raised in Sallanches, Haute Savoie, Gillet is the son of a policeman and a secretary, and he has a younger brother. He pursued his studies at Nancy Business School before relocating to Paris. Initially struggling to support himself through acting, Gillet worked as a theater usher but found it difficult to afford tuition for the Eva-Saint-Paul Drama School. His androgynous looks led to a modeling stint in Japan, but a lack of work there left him feeling adrift. This challenging experience became a catalyst for change, inspiring him to fully commit to his passion for acting.

Gillet made his stage debut in the titular role of *Caligula*, directed by Charles Berling, and transitioned to television in 2005 with a role in the miniseries *Les Rois maudits*. His film debut came in 2006 with *Nouvelle chance* and *L'homme de sa vie*. In his personal life, he is in a relationship with musician Brice Michelini, who expressed his admiration for Gillet in the song *Andy, I Love You*.
