Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born on August 14, 1959, is a distinguished American actress renowned for her work in both film and theater. Over her illustrious career, she has garnered numerous accolades, including an Academy Award and a Tony Award, alongside nominations for a Critics' Choice Movie Award and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

Harden's journey in acting began in the 1980s with various television appearances, leading to her film debut in 1986. Her breakthrough role came in 1990 when she starred in the Coen brothers' acclaimed film *Miller's Crossing*. This was followed by notable performances in films such as *The First Wives Club* (1996), *Flubber* (1997), and *Space Cowboys* (2000). Her portrayal of Lee Krasner in *Pollock* (2000) earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She further solidified her reputation with a supporting role in *Mona Lisa Smile* (2003) and received a second Oscar nomination for her performance in *Mystic River* (2003).
