Manuela Martelli
Manuela Martelli is a talented Chilean actress and director, renowned for her impactful contributions to cinema. At just 18 years old and lacking formal theater training, she made her mark in the film industry with her lead role in Gonzalo Justiniano's acclaimed film, *B-Happy*. This breakout performance garnered widespread praise from critics both in Chile and abroad, culminating in her recognition at the Toronto Film Festival. Her outstanding portrayal earned her the prestigious Coral Award for Best Actress at the Havana Film Festival, along with the Best Actress accolade at the Washington Latin American Film Festival.
Martelli continued to solidify her reputation with her role in *Machuca*, directed by Andrés Wood. This performance not only showcased her talent but also led to further accolades, including the Best Actress award at the Viña del Mar Festival and the Altazor Prize from the Chilean actors' guild.
