Jitsuko Yoshimura

Jitsuko Yoshimura (吉村実子, Yoshimura Jitsuko), born on April 18, 1943, is a renowned actress from Japan. Her career began when filmmaker Shohei Imamura recognized her talent as a newcomer and cast her in his film "Pigs and Battleships." Following this initial success, she featured in notable films such as "The Insect Woman" and "Onibaba," which helped solidify her status in the industry. After taking a break from acting in 1970, Yoshimura made a comeback in 1980 and has remained active in her profession ever since.
