Eugene Byrd, born on August 28, 1975, is a versatile American actor known for his compelling performances across film and television. He gained recognition for his roles in notable films such as *Dead Man*, *Sleepers*, *8 Mile*, *Lift*, and *Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid*. Byrd's standout performance in the independent film *Confess* earned him the Break-Out Performance Award at the 2006 Method Fest Independent Film Festival.
In the realm of television, Byrd is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Dr. Sidney Trumaine on the procedural drama *Crossing Jordan*.
