Additionally, he has received nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.

Scott gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of the cunning James Moriarty in the BBC hit series Sherlock, which aired from 2010 to 2017. His performance in this role earned him the BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. He further captured the public's attention as the charismatic priest in the acclaimed second series of Fleabag in 2019, winning the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
