Jack Mullaney

Jack Mullaney (September 18, 1929 – June 27, 1982) was a talented American actor hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Mullaney made a significant impact on both television and film.

He is best remembered for his role as Johnny Wallace, the bellhop, in CBS's popular series The Ann Sothern Show, which aired from 1958 to 1961. This light-hearted sitcom featured a talented ensemble cast, including Ann Sothern, Don Porter, Ann Tyrrell, Louis Nye, and Jesse White. Mullaney also showcased his versatility in the role of Navy Lieutenant Rex St. John in NBC's Ensign O'Toole from 1962 to 1963, where he starred alongside Dean Jones.

In addition to his television work, Mullaney appeared in the 1958 film adaptation of the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific, portraying a character affectionately referred to as the "Professor." His filmography also includes a memorable guest appearance as the murderer Bert Rockwood in the 1959 episode "The Vanishing Lady" of Lee Marvin's M-SQUAD, which left a lasting impression on viewers.

Jack Mullaney passed away on June 27, 1982, from a stroke in Hollywood, California, leaving behind a legacy in the entertainment industry with no reported survivors. His contributions to television and film continue to be appreciated by fans of classic American cinema.
