Janet Wright
Janet Wright, born in 1945 in England, spent her formative years in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, where she was immersed in a family of theatre enthusiasts. With siblings Anne, John, and Susan Wright, Janet shared a passion for the performing arts, notably collaborating with her sisters in the acclaimed play "Les Belles Soeurs." Her artistic contributions extend beyond television and film, encompassing a diverse array of theatrical projects such as "Memoir," "The Club," "Miss Margarida's Way," "Hedda Gabler," "The Seahorse," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf," "A Lie of the Mind," "Not Wanted on the Voyage," "Uncle Vanya," "Shirley Valentine," "King John," "In the Ring," "Hamlet," "The Bacchae," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Mabel Leaves Forever," "Fool For Love," "Dancing at Lughnasa," and "Wrong for Each Other," among many others.
Janet was previously married to Brian Richmond, with whom she had a son, Jacob Richmond, who has pursued a career as a playwright. She also has a daughter, Celine Richmond, and is now married to Bruce Davis. Tragically, on December 29, 1991, Janet faced immense loss when her sister Susan, along with their parents, Jack and Ruth, perished in a devastating house fire. Despite this sorrow, Janet's legacy in the arts continues to inspire many.
