Lee Jung-eun

Lee Jung-eun, born on January 23, 1970, in Seoul, is a prominent South Korean actress renowned for her diverse roles in film, television, and theater. She embarked on her artistic journey by earning a degree in Theater and Film from Hanyang University in 1992. Lee's career commenced on the stage, where she debuted as an assistant director in a 1991 production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and she remained an active figure in theater throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.

Her film career began with supporting roles in "A Masterpiece In My Life" (2000) and "Wanee & Junah" (2001), but she gained widespread acclaim for her powerful performances in notable films such as "The Attorney" (2013), "A Violent Prosecutor" (2015), and "The Wailing" (2016). Lee's noteworthy collaboration with acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho included voicing the pig in "Okja" (2017) and portraying the memorable housekeeper Moon-gwang in the Oscar-winning "Parasite" (2019).
