Libero De Rienzo
Libero De Rienzo (February 24, 1977 – July 15, 2021) was a prominent Italian actor and filmmaker renowned for his dynamic performances. He gained widespread recognition for his captivating portrayal of Bart in the 2001 film *Santa Maradona*, a role that earned him the prestigious David di Donatello award for Best Supporting Actor. De Rienzo's talent extended to a variety of acclaimed films, including Catherine Breillat's provocative *Fat Girl* (2001), *Honey* (2013), *Fortapàsc* (2009), and the *Smetto quando voglio* trilogy (2014-2017), whereby he showcased his versatility across different genres.
Throughout his career, De Rienzo was celebrated for his ability to bring complex characters to life, captivating audiences with his charisma and depth. Sadly, his journey was cut short when he passed away at the age of 44 from a heroin overdose, leaving a significant void in the Italian film industry.
