Claudio Amendola

Claudio Amendola, born on February 16, 1963, is a distinguished Italian actor, director, and television presenter. He gained significant recognition for his role in the film The Escort, which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 1993.

Hailing from Rome, Amendola is the son of accomplished actors and voice dubbers, Ferruccio Amendola and Rita Savagnone. He launched his acting career in the 1980s, initially taking on comedic roles in various Italian comedies directed by Carlo Vanzina. His first foray into dramatic acting occurred in 1987 with his performance in Soldati - 365 all'alba, directed by Marco Risi. Throughout the 1990s, he showcased his dramatic talents in films like Ultrà (1990) and The Escort (1993), both helmed by Ricky Tognazzi.

Amendola's versatility and charm made him a household name on Italian television during the 2000s, particularly for his role in the hit series I Cesaroni, the Italian adaptation of Los Serrano.

In his personal life, Claudio is married to actress Francesca Neri, and together they have a son named Rocco. He also has two daughters from a prior marriage, one of whom is the talented voice actress Alessia Amendola.
