Ching Miao
Ching Miao (Chinese: 井淼; March 15, 1913 – 1989) was a prominent Taiwanese actor, originally hailing from Shandong, China. His prolific career spanned several decades, during which he became a familiar face in the film industry, particularly with the Shaw Brothers Studio in Hong Kong. Over his lifetime, he featured in more than 190 films, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft.
Ching Miao's talent did not go unnoticed, as he garnered critical acclaim and recognition for his performances. He was honored with the Best Supporting Actor award at the prestigious Golden Horse Awards on two occasions, first for his role in "Between Tears and Smiles" in 1964, and later for "Too Late for Love" in 1967. Beyond his professional achievements, Ching Miao's legacy continues through his family, as he is the father of actress Ching Li, who has also made her mark in the film industry.
