Aaron Charles Carter (December 7, 1987 – November 5, 2022) was a multifaceted American singer, rapper, and actor who rose to prominence as a teen pop sensation in the late 1990s. He captured the hearts of preteens and teenagers in the early 2000s with a string of successful albums.

Carter began his performing career at the young age of seven, inspired by his older brother Nick Carter's involvement with the Backstreet Boys. His self-titled debut album, released in 1997 when he was just nine years old, achieved remarkable success, selling over a million copies worldwide. His sophomore effort, Aaron's Party (Come Get It) (2000), solidified his status, selling three million copies in the U.S. and leading to guest appearances on Nickelodeon and touring with the Backstreet Boys. His subsequent albums, including Oh Aaron, also received platinum certification, while his 2002 release, Another Earthquake!, marked a significant milestone as it was his last studio album for over 15 years.

Beyond music, Carter showcased his talents on television, competing on Dancing with the Stars and performing in Broadway productions like Seussical and The Fantasticks. He continued to release music, including the 2018 album Love and the posthumous release Blacklisted in 2022.

Carter faced personal challenges, including a diagnosis of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which he openly discussed in 2019. He welcomed a son with his fiancée, Melanie Martin, in November 2021. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 34, with his death ruled accidental due to drowning. His legacy endures through his contributions to pop culture and music.
