Michael Champion
Michael Champion, originally from Anderson, Indiana, embarked on his artistic journey as a singer, songwriter, and musician in Detroit. In 1967, he was part of a short-lived musical group known as 'The Abstract Reality,' which released a 45 rpm single titled "Love Burns Like A Fire Inside." Following this, he teamed up with Bob 'Babbitt' Kreinar, Ray Monette, and Andrew Smith to form the band Scorpion, which existed from 1968 to 1970. During this time, he was credited as Mike Campbell on Scorpion's 1969 album as well as on Meat Loaf's debut album, "Stoney & Meatloaf," released in 1971. In addition to co-writing four tracks, he contributed harmonica to the song "Lady Be Mine."
Transitioning into acting, he adopted the name Michael Champion and began appearing in various television series and films starting in 1979. His acting credits include roles in shows like "Diagnosis Murder" (1993) and "Matlock" (1989) as well as appearances in films such as "History of the World: Part I" (1981), "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984), "Total Recall" (1990), and "Toy Soldiers" (1991). He also lent his voice to video game characters, portraying the terrorist in "Flash Traffic: City of Angels" (1994) and a character called 'Wolf' in "Maximum Surge" (1996).
