Nia Vardalos
Antonia Eugenia "Nia" Vardalos, born on September 24, 1962, is a talented Canadian-American actress, screenwriter, director, and producer. She gained widespread acclaim for her breakout role in the 2002 romantic comedy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, a film she also penned, which earned her nominations for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. This cultural phenomenon led to her reprising her role in the sequel, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, as well as the television series My Big Fat Greek Life.
Beyond her iconic role, Vardalos showcased her versatility in various films such as Connie and Carla, My Life in Ruins, I Hate Valentine's Day, and Helicopter Mom. On the small screen, she portrayed Domino in the action series Team Knight Rider and Annie Spiro in the comedy-drama Graves.
