Emmanuelle Seigner
Emmanuelle Seigner, born on June 22, 1966, in France, is a talented actress and singer whose career spans decades. She gained international acclaim for her performances in notable films such as *The Diving Bell and the Butterfly* (2007), *The Ninth Gate* (1999), and *Frantic* (1988). Seigner has received several César Award nominations, including a nod for Best Actress for her role in *Venus in Fur* (2013) and two nominations for Best Supporting Actress for *Place Vendôme* (1998) and *La Vie En Rose* (2007).
Born to photographer Jean-Louis Seigner and journalist Aline Ponelle, Emmanuelle is related to a prominent artistic lineage, being the older sister of actress Mathilde Seigner and singer Marie-Amélie Seigner. Her family ties extend to the prestigious Comédie-Française through her grandfather, actor Louis Seigner, and her aunt, Françoise Seigner.
Seigner's collaboration with her husband, Polish director Roman Polanski, has been significant, as he directed her in several films, including *Frantic* and *Venus in Fur*. In addition to her acting career, she ventured into music, serving as the lead vocalist of the band Ultra Orange, later known as Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle, which released a self-titled album in 2007. She also released a solo album, *Distant Lover*, in 2014.
Married to Polanski since August 30, 1989, Seigner is a devoted mother to their two children, Morgane and Elvis, and they reside in Paris.
